Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon Vol 2 - Wrap-up

Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon Vol 2 ended yesterday. Unfortunately I wasn't able to read on February 16th and 17th because I got sick. Because of such I wasn't able to complete my goals and neither did I read every book I wanted to (you can see it here). I only participate in one challenge (you can see in one of my previous post the reason why).

About my readings:
  • I finished reading "A Feast For Crows" by George R.R. Martin - which I had started reading before the challenge. During the challenge I started and finished "Daenerys" by George R.R. Martin and "The Tempest" [ebook] by William Shakespeare. I also started reading "Prickle Moon" by Juliet Marillier but only read 32 pages
  • The day I read more was February 9th (Sunday) and the days I read less were February 16th and 17th. On Sunday I read 114 pages and on Sunday and Monday I didn't read anything
  • From January 7th to January 17th I only read 420 pages from four books

Challenge: Mad Libs Challenge by Unabridged Bookshelf

Welcome to the Mad Libs Challenge part of the Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon. This is not your normal Mad Lib, for this Mad Lib you cannot just use any verb, noun, adjective to fill in the blanks, you must use a word from a book title. I thought it would tie in better with the Read-a-thon, and make more hilarious results.

This is my entry. I picked up some books from my shelf and randomly chose the words. I used "summoning" as a noun because the title of the book is "The Summoning" which  means that it's a noun and not a verb.

1. Jericho Barrons (Darkfever)
2. Love (Whatever You Love)

3. Witch (Grave Witch)
4. Rising (Black Swan Rising)
5. Enchanted (Enchanted)
6. Summoning (The Summoning)
7. Crows (A Feast for Crows)
8. Unholy (Unholy Ghosts)
9. Space (The Space Between)

Valentine's Mad Lib
Dear Jericho Barrons

I have love but I have not had the witch to tell you, When I first rising your story, I enchanted in summoning. I hope you and I will someday be crows. I would love to give you an unholy space for Valentine's Day.

Yours Truly
Thannya

Challenge(s): Jigsaw Puzzle Cover Challenge by  Pabkins @ My Shelf Confessions

Solve the cover puzzles for titles I am excited to read or have read and loved! Enter your answers in the RAFFLECOPTER form at the bottom of the post. Please do not put answers in the comment area!! YES I played all these puzzles because I thought it was fun. I hope you’ll play them too and not cheat! shame shame if you were thinking about it! haha

I did make one of the jigsaws ("Moth and Spark" by Anne Leonard) and I may do the others in the future, but I quit the challenge because of the terms to win the prize (I don't have a facebook account).

Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-Thon Vol. 2 - My Goals

The  Wicked Valentine’s Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the days of February 7-17 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun!

My last free days are ahead and there is nothing better than spending them reading- So here I'm participating in the Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon. I'm not sure if I'll be able to participate every day, but as the original post say there is no problem if I only participate in more than one day.

My goals are:
    1. To read every day;
    2. To participate in some challenges;
    3. To write at least one blog post per day.
    These are the books I would like to read. As you can see it will be a George R.R. Martin marathon. My priority is to finish reading the second part of "A Feast for Crows" by George R.R. Martin. Then I may start the sequel. If I feel tired of Martin - which probably won't happen - I'll have some Juliet Marillier to read.

    - "Prickle Moon" by Juliet Marillier
    - "A Dance With Dragons" (first part) by George R.R. Martin (Portuguese edition)
    - "A Feast for Crows" by George R.R. Martin (Portuguese edition)
    - "Daenerys" by George R.R. Martin

    Good luck to everyone who is participating. :)
