Cover Reveal. A Million Junes

I've not decided yet if I like this cover or not. The background has some interesting details, but the silhouette seems terribly drawn and the yellow... well, black/grey and this splash of yellow don't look very nice together. I probably had very high expectations because the cover of The Love That Split the World was simply beautiful.

A Million Junes is expected to be released on May 16th 2017.

"Romeo and Juliet meets One Hundred Years of Solitude in Emily Henry's brilliant follow-up to The Love That Split the World, about the daughter and son of two long-feuding families who fall in love while trying to uncover the truth about the strange magic and harrowing curse that has plagued their bloodlines for generations.

June O'Donnell—a.k.a. Junior, a.k.a. Jack, a.k.a. Jonathan O'Donnell IV, a.k.a. the first female O'Donnell first-born—has always been haunted by her family's mythic but complicated legacy. As she prepares to begin her final year of high school, June is itching to leave behind her ghosts in Five Fingers, Michigan, and travel the world.

And then, just like it always happens to the O'Donnells, a painful glimmer from her past returns to mess everything up. Enter Saul Angert, the eldest son of Eli Angert, a.k.a. June's late father's mortal enemy, back in town from a prestigious writing program to care for his ailing father. June can't seem to avoid Saul, whose very presence makes her ache with grief over her father, and soon the unthinkable happens: She finds she doesn't exactly hate the gruff, sarcastic, and strangely tender boy whom she was born to loathe.

When June and Saul accidentally stumble into a bit of the forest magic, they are allowed a glimpse into the past at the fateful, horrible moment that started all the trouble between their families. Now June doesn't know if this new discovery means she should hate the Angerts even more or if it's finally time for her—and all of the O'Donnells before her—to let go."

Cover Reveal. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

This cover is simply magical! So freaking pretty! *.* I confess I did not care about the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. However, I'm excited for the release of the screenplay of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them - as well as I'm excited for the film and for the Funkos Pop Vynil! Can it be November already?

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them: The Original Screenplay is expected to be released on November 19th.

Cover Reveal. Empress of a Thousand Skies

You're certainly tired of reading this, but isn't this cover pretty? *.* It's a beautiful minimalist cover. I simply adore its colours. Don't you love them too? Now, the genre sci-fi/fantasy has been growing on me ever since I read Alienated by Melissa Landers - and the Starbound trilogy just made me love the genre a lot more. So, when I read the summary of Empress of a Thousand Skies and I added it right way to my wishlist. Currently counting the days until the release...

Empress of a Thousand Skies is expected to be released on February 7th 2017.

Cover Reveal. Silence Fallen

Late cover reveal! *hides in a corner embarrassed* The cover of the 10th adventure of Mercy Thompson is completely different from the other covers in the series. And, I confess that this cover must be one of my favourites. The colours, the native American references, Mercy's face... Love it! *.* Silver Borne is my favourite cover, followed by River Marked's cover and now Silence Fallen's cover just took the third place.

Silence Fallen is expected to be released on March 7th 2017.
"Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. Cover Reveal. Hunted

Isn't the cover pretty? *:* I love retellings (as you all know by now), but Beauty and the Beast retellings hold a special place in my heart. Because of such, I can't wait to put my hands on this novel which has been written by the co-writer of one of my favourite series, Starbound.

Hunted is expected to be released on March 14th 2017.
"Beauty knows the Beast’s forest in her bones—and in her blood. Though she grew up with the city’s highest aristocrats, far from her father’s old lodge, she knows that the forest holds secrets and that her father is the only hunter who’s ever come close to discovering them.

So when her father loses his fortune and moves Yeva and her sisters back to the outskirts of town, Yeva is secretly relieved. Out in the wilderness, there’s no pressure to make idle chatter with vapid baronessas…or to submit to marrying a wealthy gentleman. But Yeva’s father’s misfortune may have cost him his mind, and when he goes missing in the woods, Yeva sets her sights on one prey: the creature he’d been obsessively tracking just before his disappearance.

Deaf to her sisters’ protests, Yeva hunts this strange Beast back into his own territory—a cursed valley, a ruined castle, and a world of creatures that Yeva’s only heard about in fairy tales. A world that can bring her ruin or salvation. Who will survive: the Beauty, or the Beast?

Cover Reveal. A Crown of Wishes

I love beautiful covers. And, the cover of A Crown of Wishes is beautiful! *.* So, of course, I love it. The Star-Touched Queen was one of a my favourite readings of this year. The world created by Roshani Chokshi was mythical and enchanting and I can't wait to reconnect with it. You can read the first chapter here.

A Crown of Wishes is expected to be released on March 28th 2017.
"When Gauri, the princess of Bharata, is captured by her kingdom’s rivals, she can only find help in Vikram, the cunning prince of an enemy kingdom. Unsatisfied with royal life, Vikram offers Gauri a chance to win back her kingdom in exchange for her battle prowess. They set aside their differences and team up to compete in the Tournament of Wishes, wherein the Lord of Wealth promises a wish to the victor. Every which way they turn new trials will test their wit and strength. But what Gauri and Vikram soon discover is that there’s nothing more dangerous than what they most desire."

Cover Reveal. Spindle

The cover for Spindle, A Thousand Nights companion, has been revealed. I think I like this cover. The cover alludes to the fairytale that it's based on, The Sleeping Beauty (even if at a first glance, the spindle seemed an alien-ship). I adored A Thousand Nights because of E. K. Johnston's magical writing, so I can't wait to read Spindle and see if it's as beautifully written. .

Spindle is expected to be released on December 6th 2016.
"The world is made safe by a woman...but it is a very big world.

It has been generations since the Storyteller Queen drove the demon out of her husband and saved her country from fire and blood. Her family has prospered beyond the borders of their village, and two new kingdoms have sprouted on either side of the mountains where the demons are kept prisoner by bright iron, and by the creatures the Storyteller Queen made to keep them contained.

But the prison is crumbling. Through years of careful manipulation, a demon has regained her power. She has made one kingdom strong and brought the other to its knees, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. When a princess is born, the demon is ready with the final blow: a curse that will cost the princess her very soul, or force her to destroy her own people to save her life.

The threads of magic are tightly spun, binding princess and exiled spinners into a desperate plot to break the curse before the demon can become a queen of men. But the web of power is dangerously tangled--and they may not see the true pattern until it is unspooled.

Cover Reveal. A Torch Against the Night

And the thing is: I don't know if I like it or not. :S I was super excited when Sabaa Tahir announced that the cover was going to be revealed today (you can check it here; you may also read the first chapter of A Torch Against the Night). I love the cover of An Ember in the Ashes, but the thing is I love the cover from 2015. Razorbill released the book with a new cover last February, which I wasn't so fond of, and this cover is a lot more alike the new one. So, maybe I'm over the fence because I hate when publishers change the covers -specially because it won't look good in my bookshelf and/or book collection. Well, just four more months (which is equivalent to 4 years to a bookworm) and I'll finally know what happens to Laia and Elias.

A Torch Against the Night is expected to be released on August 30th 2016.
"A Torch Against the Night takes readers into the heart of the Empire as Laia and Elias fight their way north to liberate Laia’s brother from the horrors of Kauf Prison. Hunted by Empire soldiers, manipulated by the Commandant, and haunted by their pasts, Laia and Elias must outfox their enemies and confront the treacherousness of their own hearts.

In the city of Serra, Helene Aquilla finds herself bound to the will of the Empire’s twisted new leader, Marcus. When her loyalty is questioned, Helene finds herself taking on a mission to prove herself—a mission that might destroy her, instead.

Cover Reveal. A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess

I'm in love with this cover. A beautiful rose burning? Gosh, I'm officially as much in love with the cover as I'm with the summary! *.* This was one of the first books I added to my 2016 wishilist and I've been counting the days to have it. Just a few more months...just a few more months...

A Shadow Bright and Burning is expected to be released on September 20th 2016.
"Henrietta Howel can burst into flames. Forced to reveal her power to save a friend, she's shocked when instead of being executed, she's invited to train as one of Her Majesty's royal sorcerers.

She also meets her fellow sorcerer trainees, handsome young men eager to test her power and her heart. One will challenge her. One will fight for her. One will betray her.

But Henrietta Howel is not the chosen one. As she plays a dangerous game of deception, she discovers that the sorcerers have their own secrets to protect. With battle looming, what does it mean to not be the one? And how much will she risk to save the city--and the one she loves?

Cover Reveal. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

Isn't this cover pretty? *.* I can't believe it has finally been revealed1 I confess I've only read Daughter of Smoke & Bone *goes hidding in a corner full of shame*, but it was such a beautiful and intriguing novel that I can't wait to read its sequels. Hopefully, I'll do it before Strange the Dreamer is released.

Strange the Dreamer is expected to be released on September 27th 2016.
"Strange the Dreamer is the story of:

the aftermath of a war between gods and men
a mysterious city stripped of its name
a mythic hero with blood on his hands
a young librarian with a singular dream
a girl every bit as perilous as she is imperiled
alchemy and blood candy, nightmares and godspawn, moths and monsters, friendship and treachery, love and carnage.

Welcome to Weep.

Cover Reveal. United by Melissa Landers

I love(d) the covers of Alienated and Invaded, but I'm not fond of this one. It's alike the previous covers, but the colours used make me not like it. Purple and orange/red don't do well together in my opinion. But, oh well, a book is to be read (even if sometimes I pick up a book because of its cover) and I can't wait to know what happens with Cara and Aelyx in United

United is expected to be released on August 2nd 2016.
"After thwarting a deadly coup and saving the alliance between their worlds, Cara and Aelyx have finally earned a break. Their tiny island colony is everything they dreamed it would be―days spent gathering shells on the beach and nights in each other’s arms.

But the vacation is short-lived.

The treaty between Earth and L’eihr has awakened an ancient force that threatens to destroy them all. The Aribol, mysterious guardians charged with maintaining interstellar peace, deem the alliance a threat to the galaxy. They order a separation of the races, decreeing humans and L’eihrs must return to their own planets within the month or face extinction. In fact, they already have agents in place on Earth, ready to begin.

With the clock ticking, Aelyx and Cara assemble a team of colonists and race back to Earth, where they unite with old friends to solve the mystery of who the Aribol are, what they want, and the real reason the alliance has provoked them. As tensions build to a full-scale war, Aelyx and Cara must fight harder than ever―not just for their future, but for the survival of both their worlds.

Crooked Kingdom is expected to be released on September 27th 2016.

The cover of Bright Smoke, Cold Fire, the new series of Rosamund Hodge has been revealed. I do like, but nothing will ever beat the cover of Cruel Beauty, right?
