How is everyone doing? How am I doing? I'm still stressed and there has been a lot of crying this week, but I'm trying not to give up everything. For that reason, I decided to cheer up myself and created Cake Week. I confess I quite enjoyed this themed week. I enjoyed it so much that I may do a few other themed weeks. 

What happened in my life this week:

🎂 The video game gods sensed my mood this week and decided to release a few seconds of Spyro gameplay. That put a smile on my face. #releasethedragon
🎂 Must stop picking 500 pages books. Since I'm such a slow reader, I feel like I'm not reading, and that's quite depressing.
🎂 NetGalley feedback ratio is above eighty per cent for the first time in months. How did this happen? *happy dance*

PROS

Magic. Who doesn't love magic? 

Baking. Lots and lots of baking. I believe this was my favourite part of the story (the #CakeFlavouredBooks tag will show you how much I love cake). Anise is a baking witch, so there's a lot of sweet and comforting baking throughout the novel. And a bakery that sells magic cakes to muggles. From layered cakes, lemon pies and chocolate mousse to cookies and brownies. This book gave me a serious existential crisis: perhaps I should have become a baker.

obviously Demons. Magical creatures, good or bad, always steal my heart. I'm so excited about book number two because I want to learn more about these beautiful red, orange and purple creatures and their world. Oh, and about demon smoke.

Sunday Post. Remember Me?

So, it has been a while, hasn't it? I know I haven't been around much (I haven't been around at all), but it's all because LIFE SUCKS! I want time for myself and all the things I love, but I can't find it. And no matter how hard I work to organize my life perfectly, time just flies and I find myself drowning in uni work - and most of the uni work has nothing to do with the thesis I'm writing, and I'm soooo behind these days... I just want to lay down in a dark corner and cry. Or sleep. 

Anyway, I'm currently a part-part-part-time blogger. Hopefully, when all of this over, I'll be able to be back freaking out about books every week.

What happened in my life this last month:

🌻 So much happened that I rather not talk about it because most of it was quite stressful.
🌻 But I did go to Évora (you can see some of the photos here). It's a beautiful and quiet place that I hope to return someday. And I hope to return on a holiday - because I didn't go there to relax from all the stress.
🌻ARCs piling up! Must learn not to ask for more than I can read in a month. Some lessons are hard to learn.
🌻 I'm still ahead my reading schedule. *happy dance*
