Title: House of Salt and Sorrows
Author: Erin A. Craig
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Published: August 6th 2019
Pages: 416 pages [ebook]

Get swept away in Erin A. Craig's mesmerizing House of Salt and Sorrows. As one by one her beautiful sisters mysteriously die on their isolated island estate, Annaleigh must unravel the curse that haunts her family. Be careful who you dance with. . . .

Four of Annaleigh Thaumas's eleven sisters have returned to the Salt, the brackish water that surrounds their lonely island home, their lives cut short, each more tragically than the last. Whispers throughout the Highmoor estate say the girls have been cursed by the gods.

When Annaleigh finds out that her sisters have been sneaking out to attend glittering midnight balls and dance until dawn, she's not sure whether to stop them--or join them. And when she begins to see a series of horrific, ghostly visions and more sisters die, she realizes she must solve the mystery--with the help of Cassius, a sea captain who knows much more about her than he should--and unravel the Thaumas curse before she descends into madness or . . . it claims her next.

Monthly Wrap-Up. Goodbye July

Can you believe July is gone?! It has been a long time since I wrote a monthly wrap up, but July has been an eventful month and I wanted to record it differently. I understand that this is not the best place to mention something so important, but this is something that must be mentioned: last week we lost someone from our community and it's heartbreaking. This is just so surreal! I can't even imagine what her family is going through. 😔 Moments like this make you think how fragile and unfair life is.

Hello book dragons. How are you doing? 😊 Today's Sunday Post is going to be really short (there will be no Around the Blogosphere) and I will probably not be much involved in the book community for the next week. Why? Well, I'll be defending my MA thesis very soon and I've a lot of stuff to get done to make sure everything goes smoothly with m defence. I've a feeling that it'll go horribly wrong...

The Cutest Book Tag Ever! "What Cats Do" Book Tag

Cats and books. Books and cats. There's something better than such a match? 😸 I saw this fluffy tag at Inge @OfWonderland, two weeks ago, and I immediately added it to my tags-I-must-join list. Yes, I have list for everything. I wanted to share my answers last Saturday, not only because it's Caturday day, but also my not-so-little Iago turned three. Shall we look at some cat and book fluffiness?

Disclaim: This book tag may leave you squealing and gushing about adorable kittens and cats.

Sunday Post. Good Morning Book Lovers

Good morning book lovers! How is everyone doing? 😊 It has been a while since I joined this meme (I was going to join it last week, but I was part of a blog tour). However that doesn't mean I've much to share. A few stressful days here and there, some sleepless nights because of the warm weather and lots of struggling to tackle down my book pile. But shall we talk about happier things?

Reading & Blogging Challenges. Second Quarter Update

This post comes a little later than I expected, but since I joined the Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag, in which I gushed about all the books I'm loving and still want to love, I decided not to share another reading update on the same week. So, how has the second quarter of the year been reading and blogging-wise? As I mentioned three months ago, I still haven't read as much as I expected to. However, I did get more involved in the challenges I joined. Not in all of them, but I'm very happy with the amount of discussion posts I've written so far. 😊
