My blog hasn't been active. I haven't visited any blogs for the past weeks. I just have been feeling o mentally exhausted, you know? And it isn't something that I can say aloud very often because... PEOPLE (and I feel I've been pushing away those who are close to me because of all these feelings). No wonder I rather live among books and cats... Can't life be less complicated? Less chaotic? Less stressful? Less disappointing? *goes watch To All the Boy's I've Loved Before once again*
What happened in my life these last weeks:
🌻 For some odd reason my TBR pile keeps growing. It's sorcery, I tell you!
🌻 I have been editing my WIP (yes, that novel I wrote during NaNoWriMo last year and then let it die). Sometimes it makes me happy. Other times it makes me feel I'm wasting my time because let's face it: it will never be published.
🌻 I apologize for such a depressing post...
🌻 Book Tags! I've been looking to join some, but I haven't found any interesting tag. Do you have any recommendation?
🌻 But not everything is bad. I've joined Bout of Books 23 - are you joining too? If so, let me know. You can follow my progress here.

📚 MINI BOOK HAUL 📚

Remember when I said I didn't feel like requesting anything from NetGalley? Well, A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer was listed and I could not resist. However, I was not expecting my request for this Beauty and the Beast to be accepted because it's from Bloomsbury. One again, it must have been sorcery - BOOKISH SORCERY!!!
Wishing everyone a happy bookish week.

I understand people can be so overwhelming and it is okay to take a break. I did a tag called I spy Books. You can try that out if it interests you.

Thank you for the recommendation. I'll take a look at it.
EliminarHappy readings Gayathri. :)
I'm dying to read A Curse So Dark and Lonely, so exciting you got it! Yay!
ResponderEliminarI relate with how you're feeling and I'm so sorry things have been stressful :( Just remember it's always ok to take a break and catch your breath - don't feel guilty about that. And while you're at it, definitely go watch To All The Boys I've Loved Before again ;) Because why not. It's an incredible movie :)
Sending hugs <3
Thank you! <3 I still can't believe I got it.
EliminarAlso, thank you for the kind words and support. Sending hugs. <3
It might be a mini-haul, but it's awesome. I have only read 3 Kemmerer books, but I really enjoyed them all. Her new one sounds great. Good luck with the writing, and I think To All the Boys I've Loved Before is the perfect remedy for anything that ails you.
ResponderEliminarI hope things get less stressful soon. I’m doing Bout of Books, too! As for tags, there’s one called the Back to School tag. I might do that one next month. Have a great week!
ResponderEliminarAj @ Read All The Things!
I've been in the same place as you, girl! And I feel like a lot of people are. I've also been focusing on my WIPs and some days are better than others. I wish you all the inspiration for your work!

We all have weeks like this and it's okay to take a step back and focus on yourself too! We are still going to be here! Lots of hugs!
ResponderEliminarSometimes you just need to unplug and recharge. The cover of A Curse so Dark and Lonely is lovely. I am curious to see what you think
ResponderEliminarI really wished equilibrium was easier to find.
ResponderEliminarCats and books. Sounds great to me. I've had a draining summer as well. theglobaldig.blogspot.com
ResponderEliminarIt's okay if you wasn't that much active these past weeks. Sometimes, we should just relax :P
ResponderEliminarI am yet to watch To All the Boys movie. Currently I'm reading the book and hope to finish it soon :D
Have a lovely week ahead.
