Sunday Post. All I Want For Christmas Are Books

Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.
Hello Book Dragons. How was your week? Mine? Well, my thesis is still giving me headaches, but nothing that a good book can't fix. However, there was some progress - even if was only a five hundred words progress. What have you been reading? Any recommendations that I should add to my Christmas wishlist? I confess my last readings have been a bit disappointing, but I'm still hoping to find a new five stars reading before the year ends.

What happened in the past weeks:

⛄ Remember when I told I was working on a little secret project? Well, I've opened a little shop at Society6. There are only five designs yet, but I already designed three more that I can't wait to share with you. Now, I'm just waiting for the first sale. 😊
πŸŽ„ I'm hosting a new Giveaway. It only ends tomorrow, so there's still time for you to join it.
⛄ For the first time in years, I read seventy books (and a few more and hopefully I'll end the year with seventy seven books read) which means that I completed my Goodreads challenge. *happy dance*
πŸŽ„ Also, one more book and my NetGalley rating will be back to 80%, which means I'll be going on a requesting spree.

  • I shared my review of A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer. Even though I found this reimagining of Beauty and the Beast unique, I could never connect with the story. There were so many things I loved individually, but I didn't enjoy the whole story as I was expecting to.
  • I was part of the the the Paper Girl Blog Tour hosted by YA Bound Book Tours in which I shared my review on this story of heartbreak, strength and paper universes. If you live in the US, there's still time for you to join the Giveaway.

This is one of those moments that I'm proud with myself. In two weeks, I only bought one book. After reading Evelina @AvalinahsBooks's review, I knew I had to get my hands on The Bride of the Blue Wind by Victoria Goddard, a retelling of Bluebeard

Wishes of a great bookish week!

  1. Way to read! Congrats on the GR challenge AND your NG ratio. *high five* That's awesome you opened a Society6 shop. Your designs are too cute!

  2. Congrats on your challenge success and that NG ratio! Mine has been hovering jussst under 80% for a couple months now, but I have some early 2019 reviews to share that should give me the boost I need :) I have an ARC of A Curse So Dark and Lonely that I need to read soon, too. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews, so I'll have to see how it works out. It's always a shame when individual parts of a book can't add up to a satisfying experience overall.

  3. Cute designs. Congrats on reading 70 books and getting your NetGalley ratio to 80%! That’s amazing. I hope you have a great week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  4. Sorry to hear your last books have been dissapointing.
Congrats on your Netgalley ratio!! I'm working on it too and I'm currently on 76%. Sigh..
Have a great week and happy reading!

  5. Well done on your NG ratio! I can never seem to get mine to 80 before binge requesting πŸ˜‚ and your designs are so sweet on your shop! x

  6. Congratulations on the shop - your creations are lovely! I need to get to work on my Netgalley ratio.

  7. My Goodreads goal was 75 and I think I might read two or three more than that, so we might end up with the same amount! I love your blog design, by the way😁

  8. Yay! Congrats on your secret project release. Enjoy your latest :-)

  9. Congrats on opening a project at Society 6. I actually just found that site a few weeks ago.

Congrats on your 70 books too!! That is great.

    Have a nice week.

  10. All the best on your Society 6 store. Hope you will get your first sale before the end of the year.

  11. Congrats on completing your GR Challenge and on opening your new store. That's very exciting!

  12. Cute gifs in your post. Congrats on completing your Goodreads Goal!
I like to ready adaptations of Beauty and the Beast. Sorry you didn't like it as much as you wanted.
Happy reading; enjoy your Christmas celebrations.

  13. I don't request from NetGalley anymore. My ratio there is horrible

  14. Lovely work on your challenge and your improving NG ratio. I hope you find some great reads too! I have found some great ones but I also enjoy many genres so I think it is easier. Happy holidays! Anne - Books of My Heart

  15. Your designs are really adorable! Hope you got some sales for Christmas!
