Sunday Post. Bye, Bye January

Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.
Long time, no see, right? It has been a couple of weeks since I last sat down and shared with your how my week went by. Or visit any blog. Or replied to any comment. I know there's a ton of stuff I must catch up with, but I'm trying to finish my thesis. I know, I know, you're tired of listening to me talking about this never ending thesis, but I did a  lot of progress and I fear if I loose track, I'll need a few more thousand years to actually finish it. Also, I've been dealing with some troubling issues that are making hard for me to not feel lethargic... I'll try to take a day off to catch up with everything. I promise.

What happened in the past week:

⛄ This week I finally finished a new chapter for my thesis. It has more than thirty pages! *happy dance* I'm now waiting for some feed back and working on the final one. By the way, after two chapters of research and conclusions, I believe that writing a thesis is harder than writing a book. However, editing a thesis is easier than editing a book. But this is just my experience.
☕ After editing thirty pages I decided to take the week off aka instead of working twelve hours per day on this thesis, I only worked six. And that means I finally finished some books: The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill (a buddy read with Evelina @AvalinahsBooks), A Spark as White as Fire by Sangu Mandanna (must review it asap) and Corpse & Crown by
⛄ This means I've read 5 out 10 books for Beat the Backlist and 4 out of 15 books for the 2019 Retelling Reading Challenge. Because I've been busy (and I'm a procrastinator and too lazy), I haven't yet filled any bingo cards, which means I'm not sure of how many books I've read for Dancing with Fantasy and Sci-fi. Nor started the Harry Potter Board Game Reading Challenge
☕ A week with less academic work also meant that I worked on new designs. I had to move from Society6 to Redbubble due to my internet connection being awful and not being able to upload the designs. If you love This Savage Song, Vicious, Six of Crows and/or Keeper of the Bees, perhaps you'd like to take a look at my designs.

ON THE BLOG
  • Many weeks ago, I talked about 13 Backlist Books I Meant to Read in 2018, but never did. This was a really fun Top Ten Tuesday and it made me realize that I've so many "old" books to read that I'm refraining myself from getting new books. Even my can't wait releases of 2019. 😿

Wishing everyone a happy February!

  2. I wouldn't worry about taking a breather from the blogging/comments, your thesis is important and people understand that.
I'm glad to hear you're making progress!

  3. The easiest thing about bingo cards is you can so easily fill them in way after the fact. Sometimes that is even easier. :D

  5. That's great that you've much so much progress on your thesis. I'm glad you were able to take a little time off and read for pleasure while waiting for feedback. I hope the rest of the thesis writing process goes smoothly for you.
