Sunday Post. Remember Me?

Sunday, 20 May 2018

Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.
So, it has been a while, hasn't it? I know I haven't been around much (I haven't been around at all), but it's all because LIFE SUCKS! I want time for myself and all the things I love, but I can't find it. And no matter how hard I work to organize my life perfectly, time just flies and I find myself drowning in uni work - and most of the uni work has nothing to do with the thesis I'm writing, and I'm soooo behind these days... I just want to lay down in a dark corner and cry. Or sleep.

Anyway, I'm currently a part-part-part-time blogger. Hopefully, when all of this over, I'll be able to be back freaking out about books every week.

What happened in my life this last month:

🌻 So much happened that I rather not talk about it because most of it was quite stressful.
🌻 But I did go to Évora (you can see some of the photos here). It's a beautiful and quiet place that I hope to return someday. And I hope to return on a holiday - because I didn't go there to relax from all the stress.
🌻ARCs piling up! Must learn not to ask for more than I can read in a month. Some lessons are hard to learn.
🌻 I'm still ahead my reading schedule. *happy dance*

📚 MINI BOOK HAUL 📚

I probably received/got more books lately, but, you know, I can't remember. One day I won't even remember my own name. Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake came with last month's Fairyloot (there was a delay and most people only received it in May). Have you read it? If so, what did you think of the story?

Wishing everyone a happy bookish week.

  1. Glad you had a nice trip and are ahead of your reading schedule, but I totally understand about all the ARCs. I have been reading 5 a week, but am still behind. I will catch up soon, because I don't have too many releases after June. Good luck getting through them and carving out the time you want for the things you want.

  7. I know how stressful a thesis paper can be and I am working on one of my own. I hope you destress and take it one day at a time. I am relaxing today and know that I have to get my stuff done as I have it pilling up on me too. Have a better week!

  8. I always feel like one day, I will get my life together. I'm almost 40 and its still a struggle so I know how you feel. Every time I log into goodreads and see the "X books behind schedule" I want to just lower my goal so it stops judging me!

  9. I'm new so I didn't know you were missing. I hope things improve for you. Even when you know better it is very hard not to request books which sound fascinating. Anne - Books of My Heart

  11. No worries for disappearing, life is hard and balancing it with blogging it even harder. I've been a bit absent of late and I can't use a thesis as an excuse. At least you're still ahead on your reading schedule.
