Monthly Wrap-Up. Goodbye July

Can you believe July is gone?! It has been a long time since I wrote a monthly wrap up, but July has been an eventful month and I wanted to record it differently. I understand that this is not the best place to mention something so important, but this is something that must be mentioned: last week we lost someone from our community and it's heartbreaking. This is just so surreal! I can't even imagine what her family is going through. 😔 Moments like this make you think how fragile and unfair life is.

This month in my life:

🌻 I celebrated my birthday. It was also Iago's third birthday. Time goes by so fast!
🌻 Due to a chaotic schedule that I'm still getting used to, I only read two books, The Tethered Mage by Melissa Caruso and The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden. However, these were both five-stars readings.
🌻 This month, I sold five items at my Redbubble store.
🌻 After two years working on my MA thesis (I took an extra year to work on it), yesterday was my defence. I still can't believe I received an excellent (18 out of 20 values). I know this is a long shot, but I truly hope Victoria Schwab sees my tweet because without Kate and August none of this would have been possible.
🌻 Today would be the 15th anniversary of my Luna. I miss you everyday.💛

  • I shared my second quarter reading and blogging update. I'm actually proud with my progress. I have wrote many discussion posts and even though I haven't been reading much I'm slowly reaching my reading goals.
  • I also joined the "What Cats Do" book tag that is just the cutest book tag ever. I wanted to share more pictures of my cat, but editing photos and creating graphics takes so much time!

May I say that I'm in love with my book haul? 😍 I'm not sure how this happened, but I have been blessed by the book Gods. As you already know, this month I bought Garden of Thorns by Amber Mitchel and Stolen Enchantress by Amber Argyle. Since I loved Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim so much, I had to pre-order a copy. I was even able to receive the book swag (this was the first time that such has happened). I still can't believe that this month I got my hands on three of my most wanted e-ARCs: A House of Rage and Sorrow by Sangu Mandanna, House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig and Thorn by Intisar Khanani. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE PUBLISHERS & AUTHORS FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY! 😭

How was your July? Did you have time to read? Did you find new favourites on you TBR pile? How many books arrived at your mailbox?

  1. ((HUGS)) Luna was a wonderful cat. Congratulations on the thesis. Wow! Maybe you didn't read a million books, but when both you had quality over quantity.
